Frequently Asked Questions
Generally, the process is pretty quick and will be between 15-20mins.
No. The price is charged based off of the body part being waxed, not by the amount of hair. So no matter if you have a lot of grow out/dense hair, or if you have sparse minimal hair, I'm still providing the same service and utilizing just about the same about of supplies and time to do that service.
If there's hair, I wax it. Size, shape, color doesn't affect me from waxing someone. My wax table accepts everyone.
Exfoliating means you are mechanically or chemically brushing off dead skin cells from your body. We do this with a dry brush, exfoliating mitt or special scrubs. We exfoliate our skin 2-3 times a week to keep dead skin from building up so that new cells and regenerate and new hair growth can come through the skin without leading into an ingrown hair issue.
We recommend you don't shave for 2-3 weeks before coming in for your first wax. We want the hair to be about the length of a grain of rice, or 1/4." In any case, the longer it is, the better for your waxer to get it. If the hair is too short, the wax might not get it all up. So when in doubt, grow it out.
Facial waxing is generally smooth for about 2-3 weeks. The rest of the body is about 3-5 weeks. It just depends on the person with how fast their hair really grows back in.
Depending on the area being waxed, I don't allow anyone under 18 to be waxed in an intimate area without a parental consent or parent on site. For facial waxing, 16 and over without parent. Each case will have to be determined if a minor is a good candidate for waxing depending on the area and if they are able to handle the waxing experience.
If it's your first couple of waxing sessions, it's not uncommon to see hair sprouting up sooner or left behind if it was too short to be waxed. Especially if you've been shaving. Hair growth cycles are in 3 different stages of growth. So keep in mind, that it takes at least 4 wax sessions to get your hair all on the same growth cycle. And no matter what, please refrain from shaving in between waxes! It will disrupt your wax results and essentially starts the wax journey all over.
This is good! Waxing and being consistent with waxing will ultimately thin your hair out and leaving it to grow in sparse.
